I'm always intrigued when researchers say their findings weren't what they expected. Clearly, they didn't ask me, as their results align perfectly with what I've observed.
"Surprisingly, tenderness was more important to men than to women."
I'm sure this links up somehow with the research showing more men than women on the romantic side.
