When Something Feels Medically Wrong, Don't Ask Yourself

This one hits close to home for me. The last time I needed emergency medical attention, I didn't relent and go get it for three days. Stubborn? Me? Naaaahhh.

"we're cognitively predisposed, most of us, to believe we're okay. The moment even minor symptoms flare, most of us begin explaining them away, not because they're necessarily unimportant, but because we don't want them to be."
